Once again, the holidays are here. Winter Break begins on December 22nd; there is not school on Friday. I hope you have a wonderful break! (I will keep the students' agendas at school.) School will resume on Monday, January 8th.
Our math test is Monday and Tuesday. The phonics quiz is on Tuesday.
Our class party will be on Wednesday, December 20th from 12:30 - 2:00. The CAT Moms have been busy planning and organizing fun activities for the children!
Thursday is Polar Express Day. We will have Polar Express themed games in math and explore the characters, problem/solution, and setting in the book during reading. In the afternoon, we will watch the Polar Express and enjoy hot chocolate. Your child can wear pajamas, bring a stuffed animal and a small blanket.
Don't forget to send in box tops!
Library books are due on December 21st.
Fourth grade is still collecting for the Humane Society.
From 3rd grade:
As a part of our 3rd grade PBL unit on Pollution Solutions, one of the groups decided to have a used battery drive next week: Dec. 18-20th. It can be any old/used/dead batteries lying around at home (AA/AAA/9 volt/C/D). We will collect them in Mrs. Estes’ room (156) and drop them off for recycling.
If you have any dead batteries, send them to school and I will make sure they get to Mrs. Estes.
