Good evening!
I'm so glad that we have finally thawed out! Now, we are getting back into the school routine. I just have a few notes for this week.
If you haven't turn in the Early Emergency Dismissal form, please do so as soon as possible.
In March, one of our make-up days will be a Digital Learning Day that Fulton County will implement. More information will be provided soon.
Next week, we will have a mid-year assessment on all the Red Words we have learned so far. Lists will go home to help students prepare.
Valentine's Day is coming soon. Although we will not have a party, we will exchange Valentines. A list of all the students' names will be sent home on February 8th. Students do not have to participate, but those who do are expected to write the names on the cards. We will decorate bags at school, so the students will not need to make a box or container for their valentines. However, if you would like to provide some stickers for the class, please feel free to do so.
Here is a learning opportunity for parents presented by two of our teachers, Mrs. Pitman and Ms. Zarzour.
Parents,
Have you ever wondered what goes on in your child's math class? Have you ever said to yourself, "Why do they need to know____, when I learned it like this ______"
Our next Panther Parent Prep Class will be Wednesday January 31st from 7:15-8:15 a.m. in the Media Center. Ms. Zarzour and Ms. Pitman will take you through "A Day in the Life of your child in Math Workshop". The session will be interactive where parents will actually rotate through 4 stations like your children do. You will practice games, come to teacher table to see how a small group lesson is taught, work with manipulatives, Chromebooks & iPads and more!

Finally, in the spring we will be learning about animals and their habitats. If you have any extra shoe boxes, please send them to school. We will need 1 shoebox for each child and we now have 22 students. Thanks so much!
