Once again, time is flying by! Can you believe we've been in school for 2 months? I enjoy seeing your child grow each day!
We have a short week. Thursday is a Staff Development Day and Friday is Conference/Teacher Work Day, therefore, students are off for both. Monday is a holiday and school is closed.
Conferences start this week. If you haven't signed up for a parent conference, please do. The link is:

I have many openings left on Friday. Just FYI, I did make a mistake on the form. Monday, October 9th is a holiday. I have filled the remaining spots with my name and sent out an email to those affected parents, asking them to contact me.
In the next two weeks, we will be taking placement tests for iRead and Redbird. Fulton County has purchased licenses for students to promote individualized learning in math and reading on the computer. They encourage every student to participate on each for at least 20 minutes a day. At school, these programs will be a part of our group rotations. Your child's username and password will be taped in the front of his or her agenda so you can access these at home. We will also have some additional resources with usernames and passwords.
In Social Studies this week, we are learning about maps, cities, states, and countries. If your child does not know his or her address, please work to learn it.
The cooler weather is back! Don't forget to label your child's sweaters, jackets, and coats.
