Good afternoon! I hope you have been enjoying the warm weather (minus the rain). The students are glad that they don't have to wear jackets during recess.
This weekend, please check your child's agenda envelope for the field trip permission form. Our first field trip is to the Teaching Museum North to see a show on light and sound. That day, we will eat lunch early and save our snack for the afternoon. The permission form for the next field trip will go home on March 1st in your child's Thursday folder. Our bookkeeper has asked that you pay separately for each field trip.
This Friday, March 2nd, we will celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday through Read Across America. We will have different reading, writing, science, and math activities revolving around Dr. Seuss's books. Mrs. Lemons had also declared it to be Pajama Day. (Please wear tennis shoes, not slippers.) If your child has a favorite Dr. Seuss book, he or she can bring it to school.
Thank you for filling out our Digital Learning Day survey. A flyer will be sent out detailing the choices for this day. If you do not have access to electronic devices, a packet of activities will go home with your child. To receive credit for this day, the activities, whether finished online or on paper, must be completed by March 16th.
Dates to Remember
March 8th - students off; teachers at workshop
March 9th - students off; teacher work day
March 12th - students at school; make up day for snow days
If you have flashlights or extra shoe boxes, please send them to school.
Have a wonderful week!
